Star Performances
Ranveer Singh
Truly a bravura performance by Ranveer Singh . This guy amazes me with his every new film. I am in awe specifically because the guy I met him in his body a few weeks ago , 'Sangram Bhakerao' is poles apart from 'Murad' in Gully Boy .The movie shows Murad's long struggle in life from his struggle and travaile to his success and supernova. And Ranveer makes sure that he chooses not to perform Murad's character rather to live it fully drenched.
Will come to his rap in the music section !!

Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt is an overall virtuoso . How is she so so so efficient in every role.What transformation. Aila ... Bole to Alia ne Kya Accent pakdela hai .
What makes you admire her talent even more is that Safeena , her character is nowhere near her real life . Still , I dare you to find one flaw !!

Vijay Raaz
Vijay Raaz finally gets a role that can somewhat help prove the class this man carries with him . And he lives upto it . Infact more of it . The sequences showing Ranveer and Vijay Raaz's counter are real joy to watch .

Music
Music is the essence of Gully Boy . My favorite is Doori . Do mention your's in the comments .Raps are absolutely apt . None of it feels forced. And what a decision by makers to make Ranveer Singh Bhagnani 'rap'. Not only it made the film feel more realistic but also Ranveer was so good at that . What a Performer .
Divine's music is heavenly , feels like a shot of fresh air in this era of REMAKES .

Script & Screenplay
Being written by those two women , who understand the characters more than anyone alse in the industry , it had to top notch . And honestly , it has even crossed that level . Burden over the screeplay writers increase even more when the main theme of the movie is not so unique . But here , they handled the pressure in the best way possible .
Direction
Honestly , I considered Zoya Akhtar as a director for the elite class and anyone else would have thought the same because of her choices of films ( ZNMD , DIL DHADAKNE DO , LUCK BY CHANCE ) . But now only one point keeps pondering my thought which I heard from Zoya' mouth in an interview that "I know the Gullys more than anyone else and you got to believe me" . And she makes you believe with her work. What a direction ! There is nothing special in the story . Ordinary rags to riches thing but Zoya with her skills made that simple thing look gorgeous. She totally engrosses into the Gully's .My Opinion
Gully Boy is a movie which does not have a new story but it definitely will amuse you when you realise that the all aspects have been worked upon so sharply that it will you with more than just entertainment . Highly Recommended . And Happy Valentine's Day .Fact
