In this article , we will be giving our review of the latest bollywood movie 'Total Dhamaal' which is the third part of the 'Dhamaal' franchise .

OVERVIEW
- Total Dhamaal is a decent entertainer and full on family movie .
- This review of mine might seem a bit biased because I have a soft corner for comedies specially family comedies . Because I believe its really difficult to make someone laugh without choosing the vulgarity path .
- Coming straight to the point - Movie is no where near the awesomeness of the first part. But still, if you have loved the two parts before , you wont regret watching this one too.
- Writing is the worst part for the movie whether it is script or screenplay.
- A genre like adventure-comedy has been less worked upon in bollywood which makes the movie even more interesting.
- Nearly a dozen of extremely fine artists . So you can predict the level of performances.
- In the end Total Dhamaal is a good one time watch .

Ajay Devgn
Ajay does'nt seem as big a hero as he does in his other films . This is because of poor character writing (I wonder what made him except the role and that too to the extent that he chose to produce the film also .)
Like always , full marks for his performance . Even with less worked out character , he manages to entertain the audience with a lot of hilarious scenes with Sanjay Mishra (What a combo) .
Anil Kapoor
AK is full on entertaining and what makes him better is his 'Gujarati Accent' .
"Ghusi Ja , Phati Ja".
Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri Dixit still has the charm she used to have . I don't know about the others , but I was really happy seeing her in such a film .
Talking about her role, again a less worked upon character almost looking forced . But his jodi with AK looks super entertaining .

Riteish Deshmukh
Totally wasted !! Don't know what the makers were trying to make out of his character . Firstly what was the need to change his character 'Roy' when he was hell interesting and entertaining .
Arshad Warsi
He never disappoints . Super fun . Again even his character has to go through poor writing and inconsistent dialogues but with such talent he tries to make sure that he doubles the fun with the leftover goodies in his packet.
Johny Lever
Legend !! Even at this age , he does'nt fails to entertain you . And his bengali accent made sure you even forget to breathe and your stomach keeps paining because of laughter .
Jawed Jaffery
I have always said this and would reiterate this "Jawed Jaffery is the most underrated actor in bollywood even more than Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub and anyone else ." Even just his presence was enough to make me laugh .
The rest of the actors like Boman Irani , Mahesh Manjrekar have done their job pretty well .
Script and Screenplay
If total dhamaal fails at the box office , it would be this aspect which should be considered as the biggest culprit . Such lazy writing in movies with such humongous budgets , are'nt they being too casual ?And even more shame on the people who finalises such things . Definitely need to introspect .
Dialogues
Dialogues are really inconsistent and the one liners can match the level of part 1 . Some dialogues are extremely hilarious specially in the first half while the others fall flat .
Music
I believe managing such a large starcast and vfx was so difficult and exhausted for the makers that they completely forgot to pay the due attention to the music. Good music is really essential for such movies and because Total Dhamaal lacks here , it does'nt seem to have that buzz which it should have considering every aspect has 'tick' in the check list .

Cinematography
It is just breath-taking right from the beginning till the last scene . The movie looks grand in every frame and shouting loud about "how big the budget this time is ."
VFX
Do not expect something like 2.0 , not even Bahubali , not even Manikarnika (I wrote the same line in Manikarnika Review). The movie got delayed because of VFX work involved and it is definitely not worth the wait .

Direction
Indra Kumar's direction is strictly okay . I would wonder what happens to him while taking the franchisees forward , when he can make so good first parts (Dhamaal , Masti) . Infact its more difficult to build franchisees rather to take them forward .
My Opinion
In the end Total Dhamaal is a good one time watch only if :-
