SYNOPSIS

• Dr Mira Anand (Tisca Chopra) is given the responsibility to operate the Chief Minister of Delhi , Mr Hands (Dalip Tahil). When she reaches her home, she , her husband (Parvis Dabbas) and her 2 children are held as hostages by Prithvi Singh (Ronit Roy) and his gang of 3 other members . They tell Dr Anand to kill the CM and they will release her family. What will she do now? How will she save her family? Why do Prithvi Singh wants to kill the CM? Will CM be killed or not? Find the answers by watching "Hostages"

PERFORMANCES

• The Flawed Story is backed by powerful acting by everyone. 

• Tisca Chopra as  Dr. Mira Anand and SP Prithvi Singh by Ronit Roy are the highlights of the show. 

• They have shown variety of emotions and have carried the whole show on their shoulders. 

• Sanjay Anand played by Parvin Dabbas and Aman played by Aashim Gulati are also played very aptly by them. 

• Surya as Prince is irrelevant as he is always angry on everyone (If you find the reason why was he angry, please write it in the comments section). His girlfriend Hyma , played by Anangsha Biswas, is used an object in the show and all her Intimate Scenes could have been done away with.

•  The Acting by Sharad Joshi and Maalar Rathod is also okay .

Story and Script Analysis

• The story written by Nisarg Mehta, Shiva Bajpai, Mayukh Ghosh is layered and that's about it . 

• The suspense is not well made and never surprises a person. 

• Yes, the first few episodes are well made and force viewers to binge watch all of them at once but the last 2 episodes fall flat .

• The climax isn't half interesting as it should have been even in the first episode, the suspense which opens at the last is but obvious who have seen suspense thrillers .

• Even the writers still feel that the viewers  haven't discovered this genre and in this generation and time , they feel that viewers cannot recognize an artist by listening to him.

• So yes, sometimes the suspense revealed doesn't shock the viewers. So, story falters 'n' number of times in "Hostages".

Music 

Music isn't there in the series so I won't review this section.

My Opinion

• There are unnecessary intimate scenes and abuses which could have been done away with. The proceedings are fast paced and that is the advantage of the show. 

• "Hostages" makers have unnecessary dragged the show in the last few episodes for the next season but the excitement with which I am waiting for the next season of "Sacred Games" on Netflix or "Mirzapur" on Amazon Prime is quite high and for this excitement is 4(on a scale of 10).

"Hotstar Specials Hostages", directed By Sudhir Mishra, is an average to ONE TIME WATCH  show.

• Did you know "Tisca Chopra" started practicing mock surgeries as soon as she bagged the role .
