THE LION KING MOVIE REVIEW

In this article , we will be giving our review of "THE LION KING" .

In the pride lands of Africa, live Mufasa (Shahrukh Khan) with his wife Sarabi ( Shernaz Patel) and new born Son Simmba (Aryan Khan). They live happily and announce Simba as the Lion King but Scar(Ashish Vidyarthi).

Mufasa's brother is not happy with this decision as he wants to become the king. Simba being small and is fooled by Scar and sent to Elephant's Graveyard just to get killed by Hyenas of the Jungle.

But, few days later, Scar and the Hyenas join hands to kill Simba and Mufasa so that Scar may become the King and the Hyenas getting entry to the jungle. They trap Simba but fail to kill him as Mufasa saving him, dies.

Scar blaming Simba for his father's death, tells him to leave the jungle and never come back. He goes far away in another Jungle and meets Timon(Shreyas Talpade) and Pumbaa(Sanjay Mishra) who take care of him in his young days.

In the Jungle, Scar tortures Sarabi to marry him or choose to die. One day, A lion starts chasing Pumbaa and Timon and Simba saves them only to find out that she is Nala, his love interest . She tells him and makes him realise to come to the Jungle and become the King.

Will Simba go with Nala and save her mother? Will he be able to take revenge? Will he live happily ever after or will Scar kill Simba and remains the Lion King? Watch to find out. Rest who the story, watch it for it's Visual Effects as they are something never seen before.

Talking about the cast, Aryan Khan as Simba is terrific. His voice is similar to that of Shahrukh Sir in his young days. Waiting Eagerly for his debut.

Shahrukh Khan as Mufasa is very good as the father of Simba. Though given a short role, he performs it to the 'T'. He is very good as the Lion King. His voice is powerful and so is his role. He should have been given a longer role but whatever the role is, he gives it all and wins the Audience in the First Half.

Shreyas Talpade as Timon is Hilarious from the word Go. He along with Sanjay Mishra as Pumbaa entertain the audiences thoroughly. They are delight to watch and hear .

Ashish Vidyarthi as Scar is villian of the movie. Always given the negative role in Bollywood movies, his voice suits that role Perfectly.

Asrani as Zazu is too good. I missed Asrani sir in the movies for a long time and here he is doing his best- 'Ha-Ha'.

The Hindi Casting of the movie is excellent and better than most of the Hollywood movies as we relate to the characters nicely. Good decision by the makers as many kids watch the movie in Hindi and are left disappointed
It's not the case here.

Taking about the Technical Aspects of the Movie, the Story offers no Novelty.
The story is same that we have read hundreds and thousands of times but still grips your interest.
The cinematography and the screenplay are top-notch. Again saying, the movie is one of the best visual spectacle that I have noticed on screen.(P.S.- I don't watch much of Hollywood).
The Editing is sharp .
The Background Music is also very interesting and makes the audience feel that we are standing in the Jungle with Simmba. I won't talk much about the songs because I have seen the movie in Hindi.(Too much fun).

The Lion King is a movie full of Nostalgia.
The movie is of just 1 hour 50 minutes but it looks like you live your life with Simba. You laugh with him, cry with him, feel sad for him and when he wins over Scar at the end , it feels you have won.
The DIRECTION by Jon Favreau is superlative.
The target audience of the movie, kids and young teens will enjoy it to the fullest.
The death of Mufasa , the entry scene of Timon and Pumbaa and the entry of Simba in the Climax are very well shot.
Actually, the whole movie is so beautifully shot that you get lost in that wonderland. It seems that we have entered that world and the audience being greedy for content, never wants to leave the theaters.
