• MALANG directed by MOHIT SURI (Half Girlfriend 2017) is a story about Advait (Aditya Roy Kapur) visits Goa where he meets Sara (Disha Patani), a free-spirited girl who lives life unshackled. Opposites attract and all goes well until life turns upside down. Years later, Advait is on a killing spree with cops Aghase (Anil Kapoor) and Michael (Kunal Khemu) in his way .

• MALANG digital rights have been acquired by NETFLIX ie NETFLIX has the streaming rights of the movie and is the exclusive streaming partner of Netflix .

• Malang was earlier scheduled to release on 14 February 2020 (Valentines Day) but was earlier pre-poned to 07 February to avoid clash with Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan's 'Love Aaj Kal' .

• MALANG released on 07 February 2020 and earned around 60 crores at the box office .

• Malang took a good opening at the Box Office considering the Adult certificate and earned 6.71 crores on its opening day and 25.36 crores in its first weekend .

• Total Collections - 59.84 crore

• Verdict - AVERAGE

• Budget - MALANG is estimated to be made on a budget of 50 crores including both cost of production and promotion .

MALANG will start streaming on NETFLIX from 15 May 2020

According to reports , MALANG producers (T-Series and Luv Films) have got approximately 20 crores by collectively selling the following rights of the movie :-

1. Satellite Rights
2. Digital Rights

(Note :- Malang's non-theatrical revenues ie revenue from satellite and theatrical rights are less than usual Bollywood movies especially Satellite Rights . This is because of the ADULT content in the movie . MALANG received  an 'A' certificate from CBFC . The adult films generally have less appeal on satellite/television . Accordingly , satellite rights have been sold for a lesser price . MALANG's satellite rights have been bought by SONY .)
